Jesus is the Man

Do you want to know what I think is awesome? Jesus. Yes, I said Jesus. Don't turn away just yet, what I have to say is good stuff.

Ok, so everyone knows that Jesus died so we could have eternal life. But have you thought lately just about how big his sacrafice was? Let us start from the beginning...

In the garden as Jesus was praying he knew what was coming. He knew he was going to die, but he didn't run away. As it panned out, He was beaten, whipped, spit on, had his beard ripped out, and was ridiculed. He even carried his cross after all that. But he went through with it for us.

As he was hanging on the cross and dying in one of the worst ways possible, he said, "Father, forgive them." Forgiveness? What?!!?! After all that he was put through and he wanted to forgive us? Wow. He must really love us.

He also made the ultimate sacrafice. He laid down his life so that we may have eternal life. As I'm rounding out my fast, it makes mine seem like a breeze. I've just given up facebook, tv, movies, secular music, sweets, meat, and dairy products. Yea, mine is way easier than what Jesus did.

But the beauty of it is that Jesus loved us soooo much that he took it at the cross for us. He didn't have to, but he did!

My challenge to you is this: forgive others like God forgives you. Love as God loves you all the time. And thank Jesus for the sacrafice that he gave for us.

Think about it. Pretty radical. :)
