This has been an exciting time for our church! Prior to announcing to the church congregation our building plans, my mom&i were set to meet with Pastor Matt and Andrea to go over some last minute details and such....well...right as we were getting ready to meet pastor Matt was informed that they accepted our offer on the building that we want!! woooooooooo!!!!!
Why so cool? Because it has been a total God thing.
What exactly does this mean? it means that we skipped the 3 month negotiations, and got our offer accepted on an amazing building!
Where do we go from here? now it's time to start raising the money. but I believe the money will come in.
The building is truly awesome. It is right in town, which would be a great relocation for us compared to being waaay out in the country. The walls are apparently moveable(I don't exactly get how this works because i'm no construction wiz), but this would help us as we grow. It would seat possibly up to 250. There are 5 stalls in each bathroom, changing table included!! which is a BIG step up from one bathroom that can barely function.
And it is just an all around beautiful building. One of which already feels like home. It just has this soothing effect to it. Like we are meant to be in there. It's pretty cool.
Drum Roll Again Please....
Not only did we tell the congregation about the future building plans, but Pastor also told them about my plans. And boy did we get some feedback....all of which was totally positive!
My church backed me up, and showed their support! which was so refreshing compared to some of the negative feedback I've been getting from other people. I love my Soul Harvest Family! :)
Well, that's enough news for right now.
Be blessed and have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Kids at Heart
My mom only has about 5 days left with the kids...and then...they will be....4TH GRADERS!!! wooooo!
But seriously, I am gonna miss them. Granted, I don't have to deal with their moods and attitudes 24/7, but they are sweet kids. Chatty and hyper most of the time, but sweet nonetheless.

This little kid Jacob, has about 10 billion stories for you everytime you see him. But he sure can make you laugh. This little girl named Holly has really warmed up to me lately. She told me today she might be moving...I really hope she doesn't so maybe I can mentor her through the years. Andrew, who was adopted from Ukraine, is a sneaky little guy. He tries to pull stuff on you, and poke fun at you, but he's a great kid. This little girl named Haley is so cool. She never said a word to me until this month, but man is she a hoot. She just opens up into this little social butterfly, but she's super sweet. Another little guy named Kenny has it pretty rough at home, but he always gives me a hug and high five everytime I see him.
Actually, most of the kids always give me a hug before I leave. I wish I could take some of them home with me, but...I think that's illegal...? Something about kidnapping I guess isn't allowed..Psh. Ha, totally kidding, but I do hope I can somehow stay in touch with these kids.

It seems that they're the highlight of my day when I see them. Kinda like they bring out my inner child, but at the same time they look at me like a "cool" teenager. Some of them thought I was in middle school, because you know that's when you're "old"
Anywho, lift these kids up in prayer....a lot of them have some real issues at home or in the past. But as long as they dont' start down the wrong path, I think they could turn into great people.

Be blessed! :)

Welcome to the Big Leagues
I have to run some errands today for my potential future boss. Scary.
I know making copies doesn't sound hard, but society has programmed our stores to complicate even the simplest of tasks, like making copies.
I hope I don't sound like I'm complaining, it's just I do NOT want to mess this up. I mean, who wants to mess up? Definitely not this girl right here! lol
But now, on to more positive things! :D
I know we all wish we could save the world, and do everything humanly possible to help others, but we can't. But yesterday as I was chillin' at mom's school, I just looked around at all the kids. If we could just get to know them, love on them, guide them, what a difference we could make in their lives! If we got real ministry and people who are in love with Jesus into school systems, whoa. We could make such an impact! My life may not be in the place to take on something like this right now, but who knows, maybe down the road this could lead to something big.
Church was AWESOME last night. I have been really challenged lately to step up my faith. Seek more, in order to receive more. I was reading in Acts yesterday, it was great! and then Thursday night sermon on top of that was super duper stellar. I'm so pumped!!
Preparation continues for Sunday's special service. Get ready, be excited, you'll love it! :)
be blessed.
peace.

"She works hard for the money..."
Today was a very productive day!
I finished my first book in the pile that Pastor Matt gave me! WOOO HOOOO! lol It was "Six Steps to Excellence in the Ministry" by Kenneth Copeland. It was a really awesome book! I took a lot of notes from it. Mr.Copeland had a lot of good advice, suh-weet testimonies, and just power packed stuff for you to just meditate over. Great book to start with!
I also had about 10 billion tables at Monicals tonight. In a situation where I would totally be overwhelmed, actually went pretty good. There is no way that I could have done it without the "Big Man" aka God, of course! He helped me stay calm, cool, and collected.....ok, maybe not cool, because I was burning up! but you catch my drift! lol
We have our special one service on Sunday....YAHOO! which will be announcing some MAJOR SUPER DUPER AWESOME STELLARIFIC news!! stay tuned to find out more!
Also, tomorrow is field day with my mom's class...can't wait. And I'm going to DC with Laur. should be a good day!
But what's even cooler is that God is just showing me how amazing he is. Between blessing me with lots of tips, to helping me stay calm @ work, to allowing me to have tons of opportunites, He just keeps blessing me. :) I can't wait to see what else is in His awesome plan for me.
Love you all!
p.s. the title was because I had that song stuck in my head. lol

I'm a Big Girl Now
Tonight was the night! It was awesome&so great! Tonight was the night I got to take my first jab at teaching the youth! yahooooo!!!
I had a great time making out my "lesson plan" and the kids were great! They seemed to listen and I really hope it hit home.
Pastor Matt and I made a good team. We were feeding off each other, and I think it went over really well.
I just wish that one other person, scratch that, a few other girls could have made it. But there's gonna be times when the person who needs to hear the message doesn't come. However, I had a great time, and I love to teach the kids!! I can't wait to do another one. I just hope I can really impact them, and help disciple them.
I also got to go into mom's class, and just love on the kids. We actually went on a field trip! It was so fun! :) We went to the Ruth Lily Health Center, and also saw a movie on the Huble at the IMAX.....did I mention it was in 3D? yea, it was suh-weet! But I really liked just being able to love on the kids, talk with them, hang with them, and act silly with them. My heart goes out to a lot of them because some of them are traveling on a really rough road. Which is why I'm so thankful for my Mom...because if anyone could truly care for them, it's her.
I go back to work tomorrow. And as much as I would love just to lay around, it'll be nice getting back in the swing of things. Wish me luck!
Be Blessed!

Here we Go..
We have had some crazy weather lately. Sunny to cloudy, warm to chilly, and now here comes the rain. It has definitely been too chilly for May lately, but on the the bright side, No snow like up in South Dakota. :D
God has been teaching me a lesson lately....well, a few actually. The first being not letting my mind or emotions dictate my decisions. I will admit that even the great Emma Rich was fearful about taking on a Sunday School class of 5th and 6th graders. My mind was telling me that I can't handle that much responsibility & that I will let the kids down. But my mission is to make disciples and raise up a generation that loves Jesus Christ. My mission is to serve, no matter what it takes, serve! So, I will be stepping out in faith and taking on my first class. God is my strength and with Him all things are possible, including me teaching. lol
The Lord has also been teaching me about applying Pastor Matt's sermons to my life. He talked about when you have unsaved loved ones, we tend to look at all the negatives. Things such as their quirks, faults, and issues. Instead, we should focus on the positives. Should we still pray for them? of course because there is power in prayer. should we still invite them to church? yes. But instead of nagging and being pessimistic, be optimistic toward them and stand on God's word&promises.
Healing and faith school was SOOOO GOOOOOD tonight. We talked about prayer, spiritual warfare, and our armor. Learning how to take my prayer to the next level was awesome. And I have been wanting to learn more about spiritual warfare. Not only that, but the armor of God is always awesome to talk about. I always thing about what Pastor Zac said about armor now. He talked about how all armor only protects the front because it was meant to go forth into battle, not run away from it. The same is said of our armor. We are meant to face it, not retreat and be defeated by it. In case you forgot, we have an almighty God and victory on our side!
My mom asked me a really in depth question tonight. What would I do if Pastor Matt was called to some place else? Would I leave too? Or would I stay put? I had never even considered this one....kinda strange to think of him leaving, but God has a plan that is just for me, and like no one elses...so we'll see where He leads me.
Liz&Bob's engagement pictures turned out nicely. The photographer was pretty stellar, if I do say so myself. ;)
I also finished my first year of college with a 4.0....yea! I know! whoa....I was pretty stoked though! I just hope Dr.Milam read that book I got him, which leads into him reading "The Book" (aka the Bible).
Love.

A New Season
Things have been absolutely awesome lately!
First, I took the kids to a Youth Conference (Awaken) in Warsaw last weekend. It was soooo good. The kids absolutely loved it, loved the people, and were ministered too. Pastor Zac's teaching was sooo good! I got a lot out of it and I know the kids did too. The crew up at New Life just treated us so well, I can't thank them enough for all they did for us. John Bryan, the youth pastor up there, put together a great event and blessed us tremendously. Overall, I think the kids got pumped, I got some vision and experience, and it was just awesome!
Second, I had my meeting with Pastor Matt about my future plans yesterday. Dun Dun Dunnnnnnnn. lol Just kidding, it also went GREAT! I will be taking Bible correspondance classes and should be done in about 15 - 20 months-ish. All the classes are will be on my computer, but I also will be getting one-on-one mentoring, and hands on experience. I'll be able to continue to help out with the Youth, and possibly become the Youth Director, but that is a long way away and we will see what God has in store for me :)
Pastor Matt also asked me if I would lead the 5&6th graders in their own sunday school. I would teach first service and then go to "big kid" service for 2nd service. I'm not totally sure about it yet, but I'll pray about it. It would be good to get to know the kids more because they'll be in youth group soon, but at the same time I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. Ya know?
Liz(aka Sista) and Brotha Bob are coming home on friday! suh-weeeeet! I cant' wait.
I need to go see if I can still work at Monicals, hopefully I can. But I definitely wont be working as much as I did last summer...but that's ok!
I'll be going to Jamaica and conferences this summer, plus be helping the youth and what not, and gonna take a little vacation time, but I should have a busy summer nonetheless.
I'll start school in August, and just dive right into it. I have a lot of books to read too, but hey, I love to read! Atleast I do right now....lol I'm sure I will too after I get throught the books Pastor Matt gave me.
Sorry I have not updated that much, I tried to like 2 days ago, but it wouldnt' let me, so I guess this will have to do for now!
Love you. God bless!
