Slackin'

I am totally slackin' when it comes to my blog. Let's recap a little shall we..?

First off, my buddy Josh, aka my fellow muskateer, left for the Bahamas today. He will be gone for a month on this mission trip. Pray for him and his team please!

But we did have a fun road trip yesterday, which included ice cream, interprative dancing, laughing, and being awesome! it was fun! :)

Second, youth group was a ton of fun the other night! the ice breaker went over really well, and we were dominated by boys this time. shocker i know, normally we have more girls! it was good!

Third, Jamaica is coming up sooon!! T-minus 10 days! I'm stoked! Please pray though.

Also, there have been some tough times hitting some people around me. So, I found this scripture today, and I hope it helps a little. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." --Psalm 147:3

Helped Andrea around the church today. Sarah (an almost 2 year old) was a lot of fun today too. :)

This blog is totally random today, but it's ok. I'm random at times ;)

BE BLESSED!

Everything

"You calm the storms, and you give me rest. You hold me in your hands, you won't let me fall. You steal my heart, and you take my breath away."

These lyrics are so powerful and the video is just awesome! It's such a friendly reminder that there will be times when we fall, and Satan will totally use that as an opportunity to make a wedge between us&God. But when we reach out to God, he's gonna reach out to us. And yes, with God we have VICTORY! :D

"You're all I want you're all I need, you're everything, everything."

With Everything

With Everything. Two simple words, yet a powerful meaning when combined. This is where I'm at in my walk. Just wanting to give, serve, love with everything that is in me.

I had this song playing while I was praying the other day, and man it was awesome. I just fell to my knees, lifted my hands, and cried out to God. The tears were flowing, but it was such a beautiful moment between me&my heavenly father.

You see, I have a passion to see lives changed, bring hope to the hopeless, love as God has loved me, set the captive free, and just see people transformed by Jesus.

And that's what I pray we will do. That with everything within us we will give God our best efforts. Even if it's inconvient for us, I pray that we will be inconvient enough to lay down our agenda, and pick up God's agenda.

With Everything :)

Go Change the world!

L-O-V-E

Sometimes we feel that there's not much we can do to help people. We may feel they won't listen to us, they're beyond help, or perhaps we don't even want to take the time to try to help them because it would be inconvient for us.

I love the verse John 15:12 where it says, "Love each other as I have loved you." Now, stop and think for just a second. God loved us so much that he sent his son to die for us...so that we can have an eternal, awesome life. Hm....that's pretty big! Not only that, but he loves us so much that he constanly forgives us and pours out his grace upon us, even though we mess up everyday. He loves us soooo much that his thoughs for us outnumber the grains of sand. He loves us so much that he has made a plan for our lives. God loves us so much that he gives us life!

Now, people may be different, cultures may be different, lifestyles may be different, but EVERY person wants to feel loved&valued. That's where you step in my friends!

I think one of our biggest missions in life is to love. To love our neighbor, love our enemies, and love everyone!

You may feel like you have no affect on someone's life, but trust me, just by loving them you could change their life. It can even be as simple as a smile, or just saying hi to them.

So, let's go love others as God has loved us! :)

Be blessed! <3

"Take Heart for I have overcome the world"

Life is like a roller coaster. Up, down, and all around. It can be fun, kinda scary, and full of uncertainties.

We have had two South Putnam students die this summer. Both unexpected and sudden. Tyler Adams was going to be a Junior & Haley Bain would've been a sophomore next year. It's times like these when you realize just how precious life is, how life throws you a curve you didn't see coming, and just how fast time goes.

I had never been to a teenager's viewing before. And I'll admit, it was tough. Seeing so many people cry and devasted isn't fun. But even in the midst of sadness, we can learn from the life Haley led.

I picked up the card telling about Haley as I entered the church. It has a beautiful picture of Haley on the front, an adorable picture of her as a young child on the inside, and listed some information about Haley. But after I got back home, I noticed something else in the card, a quote by Haley.

It says, "My future might be full of uncertainties, but I am ready to face it head on. I am so excited to see what God has in store for me. I want to go through life forgiving, forgetting, loving the people around me, and just being happy."

We may feel that Haley's life was cut short, but she led an awesome life that we can learn from. So many times we take advantage of life, people, and situations. We may say, "I'll call them tomorrow...I'll apoplogize later....I'll start reading my bible again next week....I'll go back to church soon....etc."

Life is not going to always be easy, but we have a God that is all powerful, loving, caring, awesome, compassionate, and great! He brings joy, comfort, peace, happiness, love, vision, strength, and so much more than you ever thought could be possible.

I love John 16:33, and I feel it's a good reminder for everyone. It says, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

If God is for us, who can be against us? We may have the occasional curve ball, or speed bump. But TAKE HEART! For God has overcome the world!

be blessed!

Drum Roll Please....

This has been an exciting time for our church! Prior to announcing to the church congregation our building plans, my mom&i were set to meet with Pastor Matt and Andrea to go over some last minute details and such....well...right as we were getting ready to meet pastor Matt was informed that they accepted our offer on the building that we want!! woooooooooo!!!!!

Why so cool? Because it has been a total God thing.

What exactly does this mean? it means that we skipped the 3 month negotiations, and got our offer accepted on an amazing building!

Where do we go from here? now it's time to start raising the money. but I believe the money will come in.

The building is truly awesome. It is right in town, which would be a great relocation for us compared to being waaay out in the country. The walls are apparently moveable(I don't exactly get how this works because i'm no construction wiz), but this would help us as we grow. It would seat possibly up to 250. There are 5 stalls in each bathroom, changing table included!! which is a BIG step up from one bathroom that can barely function.

And it is just an all around beautiful building. One of which already feels like home. It just has this soothing effect to it. Like we are meant to be in there. It's pretty cool.

Drum Roll Again Please....
Not only did we tell the congregation about the future building plans, but Pastor also told them about my plans. And boy did we get some feedback....all of which was totally positive!

My church backed me up, and showed their support! which was so refreshing compared to some of the negative feedback I've been getting from other people. I love my Soul Harvest Family! :)

Well, that's enough news for right now.
Be blessed and have a great Memorial Day weekend!
